Terms of Service
Last updated July 24, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and DigiGhost. Plain language is intended, and where it is ambiguous, read it in the way a careful reader would.
1. Service description
DigiGhost can scan accessible Instagram comments from a browser session you authenticate yourself, or analyse official data exports you supply from platforms you control. A live scan is bounded and partial; it does not promise a complete history. DigiGhost presents what it finds as a reviewable list of traces. Where you approve deletion, DigiGhost performs best-effort automation against your own accounts on those platforms. Deletion is always user-approved: nothing is removed without an explicit instruction from you.
2. The $50 one-time cleanup
DigiGhost sells a one-time cleanup for a single payment of $50. There is no subscription and nothing renews. You can use the Instagram live scan for accessible comments now, or request your own official platform exports when you need deeper history — DigiGhost never asks for a password. You approve every item before anything is deleted. Live coverage is not complete-history coverage, and export wait times are set by the platforms, not by DigiGhost.
What the $50 covers is deletion at the source, on supported platforms, of items you have approved. It does not reach anything outside those accounts: screenshots other people took, reposts, quotes, third-party copies, web archives, or search-engine caches can survive a deletion, and DigiGhost cannot remove them. Deletion is best-effort — see section 8.
The one-time cleanup is not the Career Curation Audit. It includes no human reviewer, no review call, no remove/preserve/feature recommendation, and no legal, admissions, hiring or compliance advice. DigiGhost makes no claim about any outcome: it does not promise, and cannot affect, an interview, an offer, a match, an admission, a scholarship, or any hiring or licensing decision.
It is also not a disclosure or compliance product. Do not use DigiGhost to remove material facts from anything you are obliged to disclose — including bar admission and Character & Fitness, security clearance, immigration or visa vetting, and court, custody or safeguarding processes. Deleting a post does not satisfy, replace, or erase a disclosure obligation.
3. Accounts & eligibility
Accounts are created by signing in with Google. DigiGhost never asks you to create or remember a password. You may also try DigiGhost as a guest, in which case your work is tied to a browser cookie and is adopted into an account if and when you sign in. You must be at least 13 years old to use DigiGhost. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
4. Your content & authorization
You own your export and everything in it. By uploading it you authorize DigiGhost to process that content for the purpose of running the service, including automated and AI-assisted classification to decide what should be flagged for your attention, and — for items you specifically approve — to carry out deletion actions on your behalf against your own accounts. You confirm that you have the right to upload the data you upload and to authorize those actions.
5. Referral program
Every account starts with a 12-month erase window: DigiGhost will act on traces dated within the last twelve months. Each person who signs up through your referral link and creates an account extends that window by six months. Items with no reliable date in the export are treated as recent and remain inside your window.
Self-referral, automated signups, duplicate accounts, and any other manipulation void the resulting credit. The program is offered at our discretion and may be changed, limited, or ended at any time.
6. Data retention
Jobs, uploaded exports, and everything derived from them are automatically purged seven days after the job is created. You may delete a job and its data at any point before then from the job page. After a purge, the data cannot be recovered.
7. Third-party platforms
DigiGhost is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, or any other platform. Automated deletion runs inside a browser session and may trigger a platform's rate limits, security checks, or challenge flows. Complying with the terms of the platforms you use remains your responsibility.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
DigiGhost cannot guarantee complete or permanent deletion. Platforms fail, change, cache, or retain content for their own reasons, and third parties may hold copies DigiGhost never sees. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiGhost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, reputation, or profits arising from your use of the service.
9. Termination, changes, governing law & contact
You may stop using DigiGhost and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, for violations of these terms, or where required by law. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these terms: privacy@goghost.app.
